Creating an Online Hub for Accessible Learning and Community Resources

Program Objectives

This project aims to develop a dedicated website for Kayan Community, serving as a centralized digital platform for sharing resources, knowledge, and learning tools. The platform will host a range of content including videos, reading materials, and structured courses that reflect Kayan’s work in collective wellness, active citizenship, and community empowerment.

The website is designed to extend Kayan’s impact beyond physical spaces by making its programs and methodologies accessible to a wider audience, including individuals in remote or underserved areas. It will also support continuous learning by allowing participants to revisit materials, deepen their understanding, and engage with content at their own pace.

Developed through in-kind contributions, the platform represents a key step toward building a sustainable and scalable knowledge hub, strengthening Kayan’s ability to share its work, connect communities, and support long-term learning and engagement.

Month 1: Planning & Structure

• Define website structure and content categories
• Identify key resources (videos, books, courses)
• Design user flow and platform layout

Month 2: Development & Upload

• Build website pages and interface
• Upload initial content and resources
• Test functionality and user experience

Month 3: Launch & Integration

• Launch website publicly
• Integrate platform into Kayan’s programs
• Encourage community engagement and usage
• Collect feedback for future improvements

Expected Impact

• The project will result in a fully functional digital platform that provides open access to Kayan’s educational and wellbeing resources. Community members and external users will be able to access structured content, enhancing their learning and engagement with Kayan’s methodologies.
• The platform will increase the reach and sustainability of Kayan’s work by enabling continuous and self-paced learning, especially for individuals who cannot attend in-person sessions. It will also strengthen documentation and visibility of Kayan’s programs.
• In the long term, the website will serve as a scalable knowledge hub, supporting broader dissemination of community-based practices and fostering a connected network of learners and facilitators.
