Renovating and Equipping a Space for Collective Wellness and Community Engagement in Simkanieh Shouf

Renovating and Equipping a Space for Collective Wellness and Community Engagement in Simkanieh Shouf
This project aims to renovate and develop the Kayan Community Centre into a functional and welcoming space dedicated to collective wellbeing, learning, and community engagement. The centre will serve as a hub for delivering Kayanβs programs, including group wellness sessions, trainings, and community-building activities.
The renovation will focus on creating a safe, accessible, and multipurpose environment that supports group meditation, workshops, and group gatherings. This includes infrastructure improvements, furnishing of key spaces such as a meditation room, and installation of essential equipment like solar energy systems to ensure sustainability and continuity of activities despite electricity challenges.
The project will be made possible through a collaborative community effort, including land provision, financial contributions, technical expertise, and in-kind support. By establishing a dedicated physical space, KaYan community strengthens its ability to provide consistent programming, expand its reach, and foster a sense of belonging and stability within the community.
